COILVOXEL - MICRO-COILS

Voxalytic GmbH offers solenoidal on-chip coil solutions with very high accuracy. CoilVoxel™ solutions offer a wide range of design parameters, rendering them suited for diverse applications such as RF, RFID, antennas, scientific instrumentation, microelectronic circuits and many more.

The smallest CoilVoxel™ has a diameter of merely 200 µm. Our unique coil winding technology enables us to realize truly 3D solenoidal CoilVoxel™ chips with high winding density and high degree of flexibility in terms of number of turns and winding layers on plastic (solid or hollow post) or magnetic of almost any shape. CoilVoxel™ comes with its long axis perpendicular to the substrate which makes it excellent choice for many applications. Copper CoilVoxel™ solenoids provide customers with high Q-factor micro solenoids while Gold CoilVoxel™ chips are available for bio-compatible applications.

 

HOW IT WORKS

Flexibility and Precision

CoilVoxel™ solenoids are fabricated using standard IC technology on posts made of either magnetic material or from polymers. The design of the posts can be varied in terms of diameter, shape and aspect ratio (i.e. height). Our proprietary coil winding technology enables us to create highly accurate and reproducible coils according to specifications.
Besides classical shapes we may also manufacture more complex designs (see picture below) for specific applications such as low parasitic NMR probes or RF probes, etc.
Our coils can be delivered as stand-alone chips or embedded directly into customized designs.
